Location is above the valley. Perfect place after a hike or activity in Val di Funes. The staff was incredibly friendly, and best of all, the food was amazing.

We had the lamb burger, spinach pasta with game ragout and cheese strudel. All three were excellent—some of the best we’ve had in Italy. Highly recommend!

One of the best dining experiences since arriving in Italy. Starting with location, it is located on the hill overlooking the beautiful valley. Great outdoor seating with umbrellas. Huge parking lot. Service was fantastic. Table setting was simple modern yet artsy. There’s a small playground, sandbox and a mini slide for kids to play on when they are waiting for food or some eating. This is the perfect setting for any occasion, family dinner, friends gathering, tourist visiting or even a date.

Here’s the part that everyone probably cares the most about, the part that blew us away. FOOD! We had pizza, the spinach pasta, goulash with dumpling, and lamb gnocchi. Safe to say it is the best spinach pastas the best goulash and the best lamb gnocchi I’ve ever had, and we’ve been in Italy for over 2 weeks. Period. Pizza was fantastic, even the dough, not too thick, not chewy, crunchy but not hard. Plating was beautiful, food was flavourful and well balanced, great temperature, good portion. Safe to say, it was good looking, good smelling, good tasting. Desert was good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still very tasty. Ice cream in the banana boat is creamy and smooth. The restaurant is up the road past the Church of San Giovanni in Ranui (Chiesa di San Giovanni / St. Johann in Ranui). It’s a beautiful, modern‑styled building with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and gorgeous views of the rolling hills all around.
Even though their hours are limited in the evening, we got a table easily and it wasn’t busy at all. The prices are pretty reasonable, and the menu is mainly focused on pizza. While it’s not quite the Neapolitan pizza we’re used to and prefer, it was still good — comforting and tasty, though not a “wow pizzeria.” The staff were very lovely and friendly, which added nicely to the atmosphere.

We dropped by the restaurant on the way to hiking. It’s a suburban area in the middle of nowhere. Food is generally reasonable and interior was fascinating. The customer service was neither good nor bad. It was busy lunch time.

I had the best pizza after being in Italy for a week, if you are coming to view the Val di Funes, just drive all the way here you get the best view on the way here and have the tasty food.
