Very friendly and helpful staff. I really liked the chili dip appetizer; it had a good amount of meat and I can't complain about the cheese on top. Sweet potato fries and the garlic mash potatoes were absolutely delicious sides. I enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork, but the ribs were very disappointing as they were tough and the seasoning didn't penetrate very deep.

This was our first time going to Smokin' Al's in Massapequa Park Saturday August 17th 2024.. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and sat at a table in the elevated section. Our waitress Sophia came over right away to introduce herself and ask us what we would like to have to drink. Our dinner was delicious the atmosphere was very warm, We ordered combo number two which was spare ribs and brisket lean, and a pulled pork sandwich. Plenty of food! Everything was outrageous. Sophia was very attentive making sure to check in on us quite often. We explain to her mid meal that this was our first time at the restaurant and that we were truly enjoying our dinner. Highly recommend this restaurant. Very well controlled as smokin Al was there making sure every meal that went out was exactly the way it should be. It's nice to see hands-on management. The restaurant was very clean and set up where you didn't feel like you were right on top of the people next to you. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks to Sophia and the rest of the staff for making tonight the most enjoyable evening! As we left we were wished a good night and to get home safely. Wonderful to hear!!

It was a laid-back relaxing atmosphere. The service was friendly and above. The norm food was heavy and large quantity and quality. Just use the side sauce offered if you want more punch on the ribs

Tried this place the other day for first time as takeout. The food was amazing, hands down the best BBQ place I've tried in Long Island. I got the Smoked Ribs and Meat combo with the moist brisket. The meats were very tender had a good smoke flavor. The baked beans, cornbread, coleslaw were also great. Overall good value, will definitely be returning here to try out the rest of the menu.

As far as I am concerned, this is probably some of the best BBQ you will find on Long Island, and with that being said, you will definitely pay for it because it's far from inexpensive (yeah, you do get what you pay for). The portions are big (had plenty to take home), the side dishes are fresh and well made.

My son and I each got the ribs. He had a slab of the baby backs and I had the St. Louis style. They came out piping hot, and they do not skimp. I had the mac-n-cheese and corn on the cob (my only observation is that it should have been finished on the grilled rather than just boiled). My son had the mac-n-cheese and the mashed potatoes. And on the ribs I recommend the snake bite sauce - it has a slight kick to it and is a nice compliment to their dry rub. We were both very happy with our orders and each of us had enough for dinner the next night at home (so for that, if you split the bill in half, it is easier to accept).

We didn't get drinks (they have a full bar), or dessert (although we were tempted).

The atmosphere was nice. It was spacious, with plenty of tables, but not in a way where you're sitting on top of each other. Plenty of TVs with the games on, but not loud enough where you can't have a conversation either.

WOW...I had to roll myself out of the BBQ spot. Every piece of food was so good I just couldn't stop eating! Big meaty wings, tasty onion rings, and nachos loaded to the brim. The chopped brisket had a lot of sauce on it, but was definitely good. Highly recommend if you're looking for a BBQ joint in the Massapequa area.

We came as a group of five and were quickly seated and attended to by our waitress. She made great suggestions and explained the sauces to us. We ordered baby back ribs, two meat combos, and beef ribs. The baby backs and sides were delicious! The pulled pork and smoked chicken (two meat combo) were tasty as well. The beef ribs were very disappointing as they were chewy and did not taste fresh at all! We had a good experience and will be returning to try the other offerings.
