The restaurant has really a good ambiance, a nice view of the lake and a swimming pool. It is a perfect spot for aperitivo. Maybe they have to work on their menu. The staff are great.

The view from the lake is really beautiful and the environment near the pool is very romantic. We both liked our food.

We arrived here from Venice around 6pm where we were greeted and our host asked if we would like reservations. The view alone is breathe taking and the food was very good. Servers are so nice and accommodating. We’re sad we have to leave this place and continue on. Residence San Michele is well worth the stay!!

Two stars only for the nice view. The food was mediocre at best, My food was actually already cold when it arrived. In term of taste and quality both dishes were okay but really not as great as the re restaurant pretends to be - it is more "wannabe". Some other smaller issues with service make me give only 2 stars. That's my opinion of course, others may feel different.

The evening started out just fine, friendly greetings and comfortable table. Manhatten cocktail very acceptable, and bottle of decent red wine ordered.

Then the food stared arriving, that’s when things started their downhill roll.

The fassona was just about OK, but the “trio of scallops” were a total joke, both in terms of presentation and quality.

Then came the mains, the Black Angus tagliata was simply too tough to cut, let alone eat and the fish of the day dish bland and unappetising. Suffice to say that we did not finish the meal despite offers of replacements (if you can’t get 2 dishes right first time, can you do it at all?) and actually left over half of the bottle of wine, such was the desire to leave.

We went heavily influenced by rave reviews on this site, but I’m left wondering if many of the reviewers actually ate here.

Had a good meal: perfect fritto misto, tuna steak and spaghettoni al pomodoro. Tagliolini alle vongole were average. The location is beautiful. The service instead is unfriendly, dry and sloppy to a point it became unpleasent and it ruined the experience. It’s a shame

San Michele restaurant in Costermano was a scenic treat! Tasty food, family-friendly ambiance. Our kids loved it! A delightful dining spot for the whole family by Lake Garda.
