We booked a party of 5 to eat here before going into the theatre. Because it was an afternoon show we arrived at 11:30 and were the only group there. The waitress was lovely and explained the menu and offers.
It isn’t the greatest menu going and we were informed that there weren’t any fries etc available as the fryer was broken.
We opted for the 2 course menu of Pizza, Dessert and a drink plus extra sides of dough balls.
The pizza was excellent, probably one of the best pizzas I’ve had including in Italy. The dough balls were also great although maybe lacking a bit more garlic.
The drinks prices seem a little overpriced but overall a great experience and we would certainly go again.

This is the restaurant attached to the Liverpool Empire theatre, and offers pre-theatre menus - two courses for £25 or three for £30.

The menu was a very limited selection to begin with, but upon arrival we were told they had no lasagne (the only hot main other than pizza), multiple variations of the pizza, and only one dessert: the sundae.

The size of the pizza was small although it was tasty, and the Sundae was just okay - it was just two scoops of ice cream sprinkled with marshmallow, Oreo bits, and fudge pieces.

Our drink came in a plastic bottle. Stay classy, Liverpool.

The staff are lovely and friendly but at these ridiculous prices, we'll go elsewhere next time.

Lovely food, been a few times now, ideal for before show. Lauren our server was so helpful and kept us upto date with any issues. She was really helpful specially as she was the only server that night.

We paid for a two course meal for two. Didn’t expect anything fancy. Was told when we got there we had £25 each to spend and a complimentary drink each with the food. Was also told any money left over from the £50 we paid could get drinks for the theatre. When finished we asked for the drinks menu as the food was £16 under the £50. I was told there’s no money left. I asked for a receipt as I believed this was wrong. A manager came over and said I believe you want to speak to me, I said I asked for the receipt and explained why. She then informed us that we had been charged for the drinks that we was told are complimentary. I was also told I’d been charged for a started as I didn’t have one and it was meant be a two course meal and also charged for the fries as they are not starters. The receipt added upto £42.00 because of the drinks yet the total stated £48.50. Tax was already added so this is actually illegal as it’s false statement of billing. I explained what we was told when being seated but the manager kept talking over me. I asked for the receipt and she put it on the table and stormed off. The food was below par. The drinks are very expensive and we would never have bought them at these prices (no price on menu as supposedly complimentary) the pizza had few toppings and the cheese cake was tiny and tasted like the frozen variety. We feel very let down and ripped off by this restaurant. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE MEAL FOR TWO BEFORE THE THEATRE WHEN PURCHASING TICKETS AS ITS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. In essence I paid £50 for 2 pizzas and two drinks and a cheese case slice that if I bought there at that time would have cost £34. The thing is we were also forced to eat off the set menu because we paid the £50 beforehand limiting our food options and drink options. Being explained wrong at the beginning, then getting charged for things we never had or was told are complimentary is terrible customer service. The atmosphere was dead and the toilets filthy. I wouldn’t go here again.

The staff are lovely but the service was slow and the pizza I ordered was practically tasteless. Booked a 12:30 table for the 14:00 show of Wicked. We turned up around 10-15 minutes early but were seated. Starter for one of the people I was with came about 15 minutes later, but our main courses took another half an hour to arrive. The people I came with also ordered deserts but we decided to cancel that order because it had gotten to 13:40 and didn't want to be rushing to our seats. Again, waitresses were lovely and helpful, not their fault whatsoever. Overall the people I came with agreed that the food was okay but not worth the price. Not horrible by any means, just a bit bland. If you are thinking of eating here before a show, I would suggest just allowing time to go somewhere else.

3 of us booked here before the show at the Empire. I am not a great pizza fan but there was lasagne on the menu (only alternative except salad) so I was fine with that. We arrived 5.15pm the place was practically empty. Nice waiter told us there was a deal for £25, starter or desert plus mains and a drink. To make the deal worthwhile you'd have to order the dearest starter and pizza and drink option to get you over £25. I ordered the lasagne only to be told there was no lasagne and no chips. The pizza I ended up with was ok but not as good as going to a pizza delivery service. The 2 waiting on staff were very friendly and helpful which why I have 2 stars instead of one. Will not be eating here again.

Overall don't bother been sat here 1hr10 minutes, watch people come and go had there pizzas ,arrived 5.20 got pizza 6.40 asked for a manager still waiting.
Maybe this is why they take a deposit.
Spoke to the manager seemed nice ,it's a shame that the service waiting time is ridiculous as the food when you get it my pizza anyway was quite nice.
But still not worth waiting 1hr 10 for it and to rush or miss the show.

I went to this restaurant with my daughter before seeing wicked. We ordered food which should have came to £33.80 we had paid a deposit of £10 each which comes off the final bill so the food should have came to £13.80. when the bill came it was £65.35 then taking off the £20 deposit it came to £45.35. I payed it not realising. Then he asked me if I wanted a receipt and luckily I said yes. I worked out the price and called him over and told him it was wrong. He told me it was right. I went over the receipt again and knew it was wrong. I then went to another member of staff and told them it was wrong. They took a while to work it out. Meanwhile my daughter and I are missing out on being in the ambassador gold lounge we paid extra for. They eventually called me up and gave me a refund of £19.15 which I took. Staff did not apologise at all. I quickly left as we needed to get onto the theatre. I then went over the bill again and realised they have still charged me over £26 when it was only just over £13. I obviously couldn't go back as I would have missed out on the show. Make sure you get a receipt and check over it, because they don't bring you a receipt before taking the card payment. So how many other people have they overcharged!!!!
