I have slightly mixed feelings about this place. The food itself was generally good, with one small issue regarding the lasagna.
The peppered mussels were tasty - not the best I’ve ever had (for the best ones you go to Croatia 🙂), but still really well prepared with a great sauce.
The meat lasagna was okay, but I think it lacked a bit of ragu, so the pasta sheets ended up dominating both the flavor and texture when consuming.
The pasta from the “Special” menu tasted exactly as it should.

One thing here really surprised me, and I don’t think it should work this way. Together with two other couples, we arrived just a few minutes after the restaurant opened. The tables were already set up and everything looked ready. Yet the staff told us they weren’t ready to serve and we had to wait a bit longer. That part I can understand - after all, we’re in Italy 🙂
What I don’t understand is why we weren’t allowed to simply sit and wait those 5-7 minutes already at the tables, instead of awkwardly hovering like vultures around the entrance. It was clearly confusing not only for us but also for the other guests. It even created a slightly tense situation, since we were all waiting outside while 1-2 new couples arrived and tried to take tables, not realizing what was going on.

Great place in Scilla! Delicious food, friendly atmosphere, a homemade touch to it!
For appetizer, we ordered peppered mussels - the best we've tried so far!
As for the main course, we opted for grilled swordfish and pasta alla norma. Both delicious.
The only thing I can think of is that pasta alla norma was served without salted ricotta, as they do in Sicily. Still, very tasty though.
Bare in mind that this restaurant is very popular in Scilla, so it's better to make a reservation or come there at the opening. We were there at 7pm and we got the table, without any difficulties, byt 20 minutes later, the restaurant was full.

Really good food. Authentic place. Sometimes it takes a while to get a table and reservations might still have to wait - fortunately we were lucky and got one quickly. Highly recommend this place

This is an amazing restaurant. Great octopus salad, homemade ravioli with ricotta, and tuna steak cut to slices. All totally great, fresh, simple kitchen. And an amazing waiter. Really fair prices. I recommend this hidden gem. Enjoy the food when you come here :))

P.S.: Do not skip dessert!

Very friendly place where you don't feel like you are in tourist trap!
The pasta was homemade and delicious, the portions were very generous which did not allow us to try tiramisu- next time:)!
We had spada (swardfish) in 3 different ways and all were delicious.
The service it's attentive but not overwhelming.
Good selection of music also so we could sign while eating!

It was amazing to be there. The owner is so friendly and the food is on a high level and absolut delishes.

Tasty and using the spices in a good mix - perfect. There are only 6 tables and after short time every table was full.

We absolutely love this place. We went two times and both times they turned away many guests so it is worth booking in advance. The waitresses were super fast friendly and efficient. The pasta was awesome so was the seafood.

Wow this is a 10 across the board situation! Not only was the taste of every single dish exceptional, but also the host did a wonderful job. We went there twice during our stay and we want to come back in the upcoming years.
