Fantastic food! We did the chef's tasting menu. It started with squid noodles, cantaloupe mousse, and a special new variant of zucchini. The first course was ricotta and almond ravioli, shellfish bisque, purple prawn tartare. Second course was umbrino, sautéed spinach, green tomato sauce. Finally, we had a delicate panna cotta and a tiramisu for desserts. The chef is a master of a calm kitchen and delicate nuances in flavor. The seafood was incredibly fresh and everything served was perfectly cooked. We asked for wine pairings and the selected wines were perfect with the dishes.
I would be happy to return and to recommend it to anyone visiting monopli!

Step outside the main dining centre of Monopoli to find this hidden gem. Metae is a must to try when in Monopoli. Chef Massimo uses local fresh ingredients in a unique way to create an incredibly interesting and delicious dining experience. I came here with my tour group and Massimo created a divine menu for us which was just perfect. Our wonderful waiter Enzo bought us the perfect accompaniment of local wines which were also a standout. This is my 4th time dining at Metae and it won’t be my last. Hands down uniquely diverse and delicious menu and a must when visiting Monopoli. Definitely book before hand.

An amazing little restaurant. The food was so fresh and wonderfully presented. Beautiful portions. We had an amazing lunch with beautiful local wines. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It is a very small but cute place. The cuisine was impressive with own author’s style, the dishes are certainly balanced. The waiter was polite and helpful. I should mention the service was a bit slow, but that's because the food was freshly prepared and every dish was perfectly cooked. There were three of us, it costed 180 euros with vine which was reasonable

Some of the most incredible food I've had in Italy. Its a true small gem serving fresh food from sea to table.

We felt like it was home.

A light breeze, a small kitchen, attentive staff, and most importantly, delicious hit after hit.

We had the Pasatvri white wine, the squid tagliatelle, spaghetti with green beans pesto, and the cheese stuffed pasta with shrimp!

Friendly service. More of a degustation restaurant, I had planned to get a single pasta and wine, thinking it was usual size, but was tired after a long travel day and didn’t read reviews. Tasty but small portions. My spot inside wasn’t the best seat for atmosphere but it was ok. 25€ for this and one glass of wine

We had an amazing dinner, surprisingly tasty and creative kitchen with seasonal Menu. The staff is more than friendly and helped us three (parents with teenager) to decide for the right courses. I can just strongly recommend going there, unfortunately we discovered it on our last evening - we will be back! Thank you!

A hidden gem! Food and service are amazing 🤌
I came twice for dinner during my 3 nights stay in Monopoli in 2024.
Server (or was he the owner?) was super friendly! He treats everybody like his good friends.
Talented young chef!
After spending weeks through Italy, including some michelin's in Milan, this place have won my heart. (Tbh, mostly due to expectations as well.)
Their squid appy and tiramisu both cannot be missed!
The squid was quite some work how it was presented, great texture, simple ingredients but yet tasted so good!
Tiramisu is not your typical lady fingers, the "biscuits" were crunchy! Also a piece of art.
Sorry I hope this place will never become too popular and I can return for same amazing experience please.
