In one word, WOW! First of all the entrance, beautiful interior, very tasteful! The staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks English. The food was exceptionally good. Never had a tartare that was so tasteful! The spices and additives were a balanced entity. The Salomon with crusts and delicious sauce was heavenly.
The meat was tender and the garniture on the plate was balanced. The fish was really fresh and the batter was perfectly thin. Also the salad and the potato wedges were very tasty. The accompanying wine was perfect! Unfortunately we can't give 6 stars, but what an underestimated restaurant is this! Thanks chef for the delicious dishes you served us and thanks for the really friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

The food was mediocre at best. Pasta was substandard. Lamb chops were small and tough. Service was terrible—the worst I have ever had. We had a party of four and one person was not served their food until after everyone else had eaten and the plates cleared. It was so hot, we weee all sweating. Don’t eat here

Now:
The seafood pasta was delicious. The octopus portion was really small, the taste of the octopus was okay, the taste of the potatoes was not good. The tuna pasta was not good.

3 years ago:
Best food I’ve had in Italy. I’ve been driving from Milan to Sicily over the last 2 weeks, stopping off everywhere in between. This is without a doubt the best food I’ve had in all of Italy.

I had the grilled octopus with tomatoes, the pasta with shrimp, and the seared tuna. All 3 dishes were absolutely phenomenal!!

What’s also really nice is that the atmosphere is amazing. The place is designed to look like eating in a cave/castle.

Lovely place with a lot of charm. The food was amazing, especially the blognese pasta which was probably the best I had in years ! The appetizer of raw shrimp was super fresh!
The chef is talented, flavourful classics. The menu is a little big for such a small restaurant I have to say.
The owner and the waitress were a little overwhelmed but very friendly.
I would go back there again !

Best Pasta so far in Tropea. And we did try quite a bunch of restaurants already. Very cozy feeling and colorful decorations. feels really good. All dishes very tasty and fresh. And a real wine list with good producer and good wines. dont hesitate to visit the place. you will like it 🙂

Very cosy restaurant with local cuisine, beautiful inner part + outside place at the back with colorful tables 😍
I liked my Spaghetti very much, the combination of ingredients was very smooth, classical italian style which I love, the dish is typical for Calabria so I was glad I could try it here. Red prawns freshly made, soft and sweet. At the end classic caffe + tartufo - a must try in here. Thank you for being local!!!!!! It was a pleasure to experience it. Greetings 😇❤️

Absolutely wonderful food. All 3 of our dishes were fantastic, so so tasty. My husband had the Bacala and said it was the best fish dish he has ever had. I was really impressed with both food and service. Highly recommended a visit here

The pasta staff suggested was simply amazing! It was the best one amongst hundreds meals I had with about 20x times Italy visit!! I came this restaurant just by accident on my very last day in Tropea and wish it was the first night... Highly recommended!
