A tiny gem. Would be worth a side trip if you are passing nearby! The adjacent cathedral and cento storico piazza on either end of the street being an added bonus.

Excellent fresh items (letting the owner suggest my meal made my life simpler and undoubtedly got me the best available).

The crude di pesce appetizer is made when one orders it rather than in advance and is the best I have run across over the weeks I have been to Puglia.

They also make many of their desserts and mango/passion fruit was very appealing but I delighted in the pistachio and hazelnut mousse which was just tremendous.

Anyone who is an expert or wine lover will be excited by the selection (it is a wine store as well after all) with all wine regions being well represented.

Again the owner happened to be waiting tables himself and is the sommelier as well. So expert advice for the jaded and the neophyte is right at hand.

Both he and his wife are lovely and welcoming people making the experience particularly special.

The food was much appreciated by the many locals eating there as well as this distant visitor.

This place is amazing! It’s the best crudo di mare I’ve had in Nardo, and one of the best in general. They have a great wine selection with a variety of local wines, and the couple who run the place will make your time there truly special.

I was in Nardo for four nights and after the first evening I came back to La Cattedrale every night. Fabio and Joshua greeted me like a friend. The food was amazing every night. I let Fabio choose my wine, and I was always happy. This tiny restaurant had a very good vibe. It made my stay in Nardo a unique experience. Thankyou Fabio and Joshua!

Family of 3, with a small child. We seated outside. The waiter came quick, she was professional and very friendly. The order came quick. Also the chef went out to check if we are satisfied with the food. The food was very tasty and delicious. Not very big portions but for us it was fine. Also the dessert was made by them, and the bread. They had a homemade taste

The best place in Nardo to enjoy wine and dinner.
The wine selection is so carefully picked by the owner, there are quite a few great bottles from Piedmont and Tuscany.
We had hard time to decide what to drink!
We loved the amazing service and great food.

We ate both lunch & dinner here during our week in Nardo. The food is fantastic! Wine list is extensive!! The owners are the sweetest people and treated us like family when we were there. They were able to accommodate gluten free for me as well (celiac). Will 100% come back when we are in Nardo again! Highly recommend!!!!

Lovely restaurant within a wine shop. Menu is split between land and sea, so there’s a great selection. Friendly staff who spoke great English (due to my dire Italian skills). Option to sit inside or outside in a small lane just off the main square.
