Amazing food at a reasonable price. It's a bit difficult to work things out online as going to the website just takes you to the hotel booking and says nothing about the restaurant. We also nearly missed the carpark. The evening session opens at 19:30. We got there about an hour later and it was still quiet. It started filling up around nine. It looked like many locals eat here regularly, a mix of friend groups and families, and we could see why. We were greeted with prosecco, and a recommendation to start with the seafood starter. A mix of mussels, octopus, clams, and lots more, with a side of octopus in tomato sauce, and small fried cod. Delicious. We went straight in on to the mains, with a very generous platter of grilled lamb, and the beef fillet with mushrooms. The fillet literally melted in the mouth! As we ate it was cool watching some of the table service around us. One table with a huge chunk of ribs being cut and served at the table, then another had what we worked out to be a pasta dish served in a cheese trukle. For some reason this came with ice that released clouds of vapor, like smoke, that formed a heap in the table for a few minutes. Quite a dining experience as well as great food. If you are in the area, this is the place to go.

Driving on the road, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch.|It was a small town, so we were surprised at the fairly elegant atmosphere. |The restaurant was very neat and clean, and the waiter was very pleasant. The restaurant had an adjacent meat market, where they suggested that we choose our own (quite large) ribeye steak and they would grill it for us....for lunch. No thanks.|We had several plates of pasta - one of them linguini with shrimp and another spaghetti with clams...both were very tasty. A glass of red to top it off, and it made a very nice lunch.

It was a really bad experience in this hotel. The day of my arrival they said I had to pay another price as agreed. They were super unfriendly and not respectful with us. The toilet in the bathroom was not working, the rooms are old and not worth a 4 star hotel. They wanted me to leave the hotel the day of check out at 9 o clock and not at 11 as agreed. I had a little baby and it was difficult to organise everything. |A lot of other guests told me the same. |Breakfast was a croissants and an espresso. I asked a cappuccino but it was so ugly and that for an Italian hotel/ restaurant. Really really upset and sad.

We arrived at this restaurant just as they were closing. Having travelled from the UK from early morning and arriving late afternoon we were quite hungry. Vechhia Taverna laid out an amazing variety of antipastas.....so much of it.
