We are an international couple in their 30s, and we stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks as part of a last minute deal. The trip was so cheap that we were a bit concerned something must be dodgy, at least some detail. The hotel proved us wrong. All the staff made us feel at home, and we made friends with them - but they totally respected and knew, when you wanted to enjoy your privacy and quiet. ||||Location/transport: We called ahead to have them pick us up from the airport Lamezia Terme. Even that our flight arrived early our driver Peppe was already there to greet us and get us to the hotel safely while introducing Calabria to us. On our way back we actually took the train from Lamezia Terme to Riccadi which is a great way to get to the hotel as well. This train is very convenient and cheap to get you to the nearby towns in Calabria, and it offers a great view as it rides along the coastline.||||Rooms/cleanliness/service: The rooms are basic, but well equipped with a fridge free of charge and a balcony. The rooms are cleaned daily. The hotel staff will go way and beyond to help you, if you talk to them. We got a ride from them almost everyday to some beach and even to some sights in the area for free!||||Food: We absolutely loved their typical Calabrian home-made dishes, which means a lot of grilled fish and meat, a lot of veggies and pasta everyday. Their house wine is über-decent!||||beaches/pool: The hotel swimming pool was totally nice, so are their pool and fusball table and we enjoyed playing table tennis as well. The nearest beach is about 10 minutes walk where the hotel put up sun umbrellas and sun chairs for their guests. ||||entertainment: The hotel had their own team of entertainers who did a great job of organizing fun and games after dinner, while finishing up in decent time, so nobody got disturbed who wanted to sleep during the night. This place is very kids-friendly, children get the rockstar-treatment here!||||We highly recommend this hotel to everybody who likes a personal touch in service and who wants to have an authentic Calabrian experience to travel there with an open mind and come back with lots of good memories. We thought that it's also a great place for families with kids who don't want to travel around the area much, but relax on-site. ||||We would like to thank all the hotel staff (we know all their names, but won't mention them here, you will have to find out for yourselves!) for the great time we had and we feel very lucky we were able to spend our time with them in their beautifu country.

This hotel/resort seems to have different meal packages that you can purchase. We had breakfast and dinner but we had to pay extra for a bottle of water/wine. They only deal in cash at the front desk where you purchase a 20 euro punch card. So choose what you purchase wisely otherwise you will be stuck buying another 20 euro punch card even though you just want a pop for 2 euros. They also require cloth bathing caps to be worn in the pool which they sell for 2 euros (on your punch card). |The breakfasts were pretty good with beverages included. The dinner always started with pasta (al dente) and then you choose either meat or fish. Nothing fancy but not something I would normally order.|The pool area was nice with lounge chairs and quite a few umbrellas. |The entertainment crew entertained from morning till night. Nice crew but hardly speak any english so we did sign language. |You may want to make sure of what room you are getting. We ended up with a basic cottage across the busy street. We were a little taken back at first but no kids seem to be over there so it was a quiet area with lots of parking. The room wasn't too big and the shower was small. AC worked great. No ice.| |They had nightly entertainment but in Italian. It looked like they were having great fun. Don't expect a broadway production! |They have a shuttle every couple hours to the beach (10 minutes away). Ask for a beach umbrella from the van.|Pizza place down the street supposed to be good.|Book with care.

We stopped here just for one night on the way to Puglia. The room was very basic and breakfast as well. There is a small pool and we noticed that there were many families with kids..perhaps they had better rooms than us!
