Decided to try something new in Melbourne today that wasn’t too expensive. Stopped at Al Baik Kabob House for some gyros and baklava (pistachio).

Its a small restaurant in a shopping center. It doesn’t look like much but in my opinion sometimes these are the best places to eat at.

We are greeted kindly by two persons. The menu is on a screen next to the counter. Decently priced, they have baklava made by their mom. Delicious I might add

Definitely worth checking out. Again, nothing fancy, small but home made feel.

the food was a little expensive, but every part of the dish was delicious.

the chicken was seasoned well, the fries weren't soggy, the hummus was topped with spices & oil, and the salad was acidic as to separate itself from the rest of the meal. the only disappointing part was the pita, and it wasn't even bad, it just didn't pop out.

definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Husband got the lamb gyro platter and I ordered the chicken gyro platter. We also shared Tabbouleh and a square slice of pistachio baklava (total about $40). The Tabbouleh salad was SO refreshing and the nuttiness of the pistachio combined with the sweetness of honey for the baklava was HEAVENLY. The spice/herbs for both the lamb and chicken gyro meats were balanced. They have single bathroom. Don't let the casual interior deter you from this delicious and gut satisfying food!!

If there was a 10 star option.....food was delicious. Fresh. Customer service is phenomenal and very warm and personable. There are a lot of choices on the menu. Nice selection of drinks. They are single drinks, not fountain. They do. They do not have food setting around,when you order, they cook. Please be patient. There are some tables inside. Tons of parking in the plaza.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Al Baik Kabob and Gyro House for ordering some food for a New Years Even Party and we couldn’t have been more impressed with the service, food quality, and overall experience.

From the moment we placed our order, the team at Al Baik was incredibly helpful. The customer service was great. When the order was ready, they contacted us to let us know that we could pick up the order. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped us load the food into the car.

The food itself was outstanding without saying! The gyros were GREAT — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and served with a generous portion of tzatziki sauce. We also ordered a mix of sides, including rice , grape leaves, Greek salad , and tabbouleh, which were all fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection…

We received so many compliments from my guests about the food, and many asked where it came from! The combination of flavors, freshness, and excellent service really made the event memorable. Whether you’re hosting a small gathering or a large event, I highly recommend Al Baik Kabob and Gyro House for catering. The quality, service, and attention to detail will definitely impress your guests.

Stopped in on New Years Eve (last customer of 2024) … at the recommendation of a good friend. And I must say I’m glad he recommended this spot. Food was great , service was great, very friendly and welcoming . I love Mediterranean food and they definitely got it right. I have a new spot whenever I’m down this way in Florida now. The big plate I had put me to sleep. They definitely showed love with the size of the plate wish I had taken a picture

Really legitimate gyro sandwiches and platters. My lamb gyro had enough meat for two people easily, loaded with fresh vegetables and tzaziki, red onions, and pita bread. And the Baklava, oh my god, decedent delish. I am very happy to have found this kabob place. 5 stars. I've been back several times, and it just gets better. Plus, the owners are very cool and friendly. Remember our favorites. Update: I had lunch today, and they added some booths in the back. As always, the lamb gyro was great.
