I found this place while I was visiting Roncy during the polish festival. This is an Italian grocery market at the heart of Toronto west area, Roncesvalles. They are offering fresh Italian products and all you need to boost your cravings from cheese to bread to Prosseco. It’s lovely there and the staff are very nice. I already told my friends to give it a shot.

Somewhat odd experience here. Prepared food was generally good (when I got home I realized the Caeser potato salad had a lot of broccoli in it but maybe this is the gourmet way of making it). Prices are high. Most odd though - as I was leaving I saw a display with some pasta sauce made in-house, but not priced. I grabbed a jar, walked back to the cash and said to the guy 'Hi again, how much is this'? He looked at me and said 'How much...' At first I didn't get it. Then he says in a loud voice 'You mean how much does it cost'? There were a few other customers standing there. Then he mumbles something about 'maybe you meant quantity'. 750 ml was printed on the jar. So I guess this was his way of letting me know that high-end people who shop here don't ask about prices.

I don't know how but this store took all my favourite things and conveniently put them in one spot! ❤️ An incredible variety of authentic delicious focaccia!
❤️ The best tavola calda I've seen in a long time with perfectly roasted colourful peppers, vibrant green rapini and asparagus!
❤️ Homemade pasta of all shapes and sizes!
❤️ And the coolest selection of wines!
❤️ And so much more!
Can't wait to go back!

A small "grocery" and "restaurant." While they do not serve fresh produce, they have prepared foods, such as pastas, sauces, salads, meats and dried pasta, oils etc.

(Tip: There are seats at the back, past the kitchen, however, I enjoyed sitting at the front to people watch).

Ordered:

1. Pasta special. Which starts at $8, added $2 for pesto (delicious) sauce and I believe added $2 for gluten free pasta?

While slightly pricey (maybe I'm just cheap lol), the pasta was delicious. The gluten free pasta didn't taste weird and there was a good chew to the pasta. I believe, the Italians say "al dente."

The pesto is delicious. So delicious that I bought some to go.

Also, if you order a pasta, it comes with some bread. On that day, it was a house made rosemary focaccia. Very tasty and well made. The interior was soft and fluffy and the I could taste the rosemary.

2. Porchetta: While it wasn't freshly made, the kitchen reheated it in the oven and the skin was super super crispy. The pork was flavourful and fatty; the condiments were tasty too. Might be cheaper (maybe I'm just cheap lol) to order a porchetta sandwich. The thin piece was about $5.

While they do bring your order to you, you order at the cashier, seat yourself and then pay at the cashier - didn't see an option to tip.

I would definitely come back here for the pasta.

Not only do they have such a great selection of dry goods, I love stopping here to get a fresh sandwich. The bread is soft but still has a nice crust on the outside. The pizza is good and I also really love getting pasta salad every now and then. It’s truly a great lunch spot for varying tastes and preferences.

I get all my wine here now! Do your charcuterie boards a favour and trust this beautifully curated Italian market. The house-made prepared foods and gluten-free pasta selection are unmatched, too. Always delighted to support this local business.
